Cashmere Goats
All goats produce cashmere, but only select goats produce the quality of cashmere that allows for them to be considered registered with the cashmere goat association (CGA). To have goats registered with CGA, the goats fiber and confirmation must meet strict breed standards. Aisling farms prides themselves on running only CGA recognized stock in their breeding program and use cashmere goats to fullest range of potential.
Fiber and Yarn
Above all, our goats are bred and kept on the farm for their luxurious fiber that they produce. Our cashmere is available in either roving or in yarn.
Packing and Draft
We breed our cashmere goats to be large framed and stocky to not only produce a large quantity of cashmere but also to be used for pack goats and draft goats! You never know who might need a good pack goat ...
